Spring/Summer 2011 - Acid wash ombres and twisted than tangled fringe, two awkward mixes we rarely/never see and probably dont think to see at all. A mastermind of his craft, Denis Gagnon really outdid himself with this one (at least in my eyes). A Canadian designer who's magical creations I have maniacally anticipated to see not only the week of Spring/Summer 2011 runway shows here in Toronto but since discovering his works a bit of time ago, Denis Gagnon brought that spoon full of spicy, unique, scary and almost surreal sauce to the big kisser of Toronto Fashion Week. This pieces of his Spring/Summer collection are staple looks. Works like this when worn or seen in the public eye add to the definition of the character who is wearing and are pieces intrinsic to the designer- in other words his collection is a look on its own, a collection with a statement and wherever we see it we will know it is Denis Gagnon.
