Frida Giannini explains her process for Gucci's spring summer collection best here.."More about provocation, more about seduction but always about sophistication".. Saturated blocks of color, tasseled belts, beautiful embroidery's & texturized blacks all played significant roles in making this probably one of Gucci's most outstanding collections. GLAMOUR seems to be playing a starring role as the trend to this Milan Fashion Week. Gucci's Frida Giannini blew away the crowd whom seemed to expect a soft, airy and super vintage show with soft lacks of color but instead giving them electricity clearly stating that glamour is here.
Noticed was the incorporation of african tribal references into the collection. Some pieces were literally crafted basket-weave style in stunning jewel tones and accompanied by cutout's all along the torso and waist. Other interesting aspects were knitted pieces, laced trousers and fringed everything else! I adore the earth tones in accessories, almost wood-looking leathers make for perfect everyday-all day pieces while gold snake accessories from this collection will be making the super statement pieces to outfits all around the world.
