A sexy fun video in black and white straight out of a
vintage love affair with a modern twist started off the Show.
When they figure that they are late to the show they panic..
But one friend is handcuffed ot the bed without a key anywhere in sight.
(i wonder what them 3 did last night!!)
Chaos comes alive and the friend is left there.
The other two rush to the show and the tent goes black.
Here it goes..
And there they are.
I found it the cutest & fun way to start off the show.
And finally some normal upbeat music!!
I am sorry but i tend to get a little annoyed
of the random sounds with no lyric electric stuff sometimes;
this was more rhytmic & flavorful :D..
Buff bodies were just an accent to the beautiful pieces
and the personal Phillipine inspired favorite.. The "Barong".
I loved how the slim and rolled up dress pants
along amazingly structured & proportioned jackets
made everything fit into perspective.
Wow Wow Wow!!!..I loved the emboridery of the barongs
(the sheer shirts with embroidery -
a traditional Philippine dress shirt,
worn for special occasions like weddings, etc.)
, the transparency (yes i know.. sounds nerdish
but i have a big thing with how much or
how little you can see through a garment)..
The length and just pretty much.. THE EVERYTHING..
I NEED ONE OF THESE FOR MIAMI in Decemeber !!!!
The show commenced with collars & lapels, leather panels and beautiful suits
dipped in purple or gold lining making me cringe with envy to be wearing.
But when i saw the simple white tailored blazer
so classically & modernly put together with the dark stripe along the collar & tapered dress pant
i fell in love...
I loved loved loved the little accents or i would call it more of a hidden detail,
like when he cuffed the wrist of the blazers you would get a
beautiful, strong color to add to the strength of the look..
In the mens department this was my favorite collection i got to see.

I had the pleasure of meeting Brian Maristela & Lisa Harun
whom are the team behind Lizares after the show..
I got a little interview backstage
& I was nervous at first when i saw the two
infront of lights, camera's, recorders & all that funky stuff..
Than here i am with my little pad of paper, my 0.5 BiC led pencil
and my friend taking pictures...
When i got to meet them, and we started talking
all nerves floated away like my imagination when i was watching the show.
They were kind, down to earth and a pleasure to talk to..
This being Brian's first show since debuting Lizares this same year
i asked the question i had a feeling i knew the answer to!
Were you nervous?... him & Lisa right away both jumped with yeses.
I could only imagine the race against time,
the fatigue, energy, blood sweat & tears that the two
have put into getting this far this fast!!
I than asked them
What are some of your rituals you performed before the show?..
Just breathe they answered... And i could imagine,
i almost hyperventilate when i see fashion shows on TV,
imagine being the creator of one and watching your work walk down the runway!!
When i was examining the Lizares line
i got to see the great attention to detail of the collection
in regards to the panels, materials, tops & their transparency,
and to colors and the pants.. Oh and can't forget the tighties and accessories.
I also acknowledged that as oppose to being intensely diverse &
awkwardly different with his collection he tended to
perfect and expand on things that were already in the market
but needed a more trendy, edgy, modern, masculine & classy touch..
I asked Brian What inspired You to use the "Barong"
(the sheer shirts with embroidery -
a traditional Philippine dress shirt, worn for special occasions like weddings, etc.) in the collection??
I find that in today's economy & in the fashion world,
designers are tending to play it safe with some of their collections...
Without a flinch or doubt in his mind he stated his family,
which couldn't be a better reason.
He told me how he used to recieve Barong's as gift's from his loved ones
and would transform the beautiful but shapeless basics into a more form fitting and exclusive look...
And look where it got him to today!
